Government authorities say there are 168 affirmed instances of monkeypox in Canada.

The Public Health Agency of Canada says 141 cases have been accounted for in Quebec, 21 in Ontario, four in Alberta and two in British Columbia as of Friday.

Canada's main general wellbeing official says all contaminations have been in men matured 20 to 69.

Dr. Theresa Tam told a news meeting that many cases have been connected to sexual contact with different men, yet the infection can spread to any individual who has had close actual contact with a contaminated individual.
