Prof. Youssef Rouphael


Is a Professor in vegetable crops and floriculture at the Department of Agricultural Sciences (DIA), University of Naples Federico II, Portici (NA), Italy. Member of the Ph.D Board in Food Science at the Department DIA, University of Naples Federico II. Visiting scientists at at the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops Großbeeren /Erfurt (Germany).


Main research areas: biostimulants, plant nutrition, stress tolerance, hydroponics, specialty crops and modulation of vegetables quality through pre-harvest factors. He is Editor-in-Chief of Agronomy MDPI and Open Life Sciences and has been a Guest Editor on plant biostimulants in several International Journals (Scientia Horticulturae, Frontiers in Plant Science and Agronomy MDPI).
